Safety & Compliance

Our commitment to jobsite safety and regulatory compliance is unwavering. All site work operations strictly follow Massachusetts State Building Code (780 CMR), OSHA standards, and local regulations, ensuring a safe environment for workers, visitors, and the community.

Massachusetts Code Compliance

  • 780 CMR (State Building Code): All excavation, grading, shoring, and foundation work is performed per state code, including soil stability, frost protection, and setback requirements.
  • 110 CMR (Sanitary Code): Water, sewer, and drainage installations adhere to state and municipal health codes.
  • 527 CMR (Fire Prevention): On-site fire safety plans, emergency access, and storage of flammable materials follow state fire regulations.
  • Conservation & Environmental Protection: Erosion control, stormwater management, and wetlands protection comply with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act.

Jobsite Safety Practices

  • OSHA 29 CFR 1926: All excavation, trenching, equipment operations, and fall protection meet or exceed OSHA standards for construction.
  • Daily Safety Briefings: Toolbox talks and job hazard analyses are conducted before work begins each day.
  • PPE Compliance: Hard hats, high-visibility vests, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots are mandatory for all personnel on site.
  • Traffic & Public Safety: Work zone signage, barriers, and flaggers are used as required to protect the public and site workers.
  • Emergency Preparedness: First aid kits, eyewash stations, and fire extinguishers are accessible at all times. Emergency contacts and procedures are posted on site.

Training & Documentation

  • Worker Certification: All operators and laborers are trained and certified for the machinery and tasks they perform, including hoisting, confined space entry, and hazardous material handling.
  • Safety Records: Incident logs, inspection checklists, and compliance reports are maintained for every project.
  • Pre-Construction Meetings: Safety plans and code requirements are reviewed with all contractors and subcontractors before work begins.

Continuous Improvement

  • We monitor regulatory updates and regularly update our procedures to remain compliant with the latest Massachusetts and OSHA requirements.
